Simple Recipes For Beginners
When it comes to doing anything related to cooking, you would probably want to ban me from the kitchen. My husband used to tease me before we got married. I had lived on frozen dinners, pizzas, cereal and simple recipes since I moved out after graduation. I had always been thin and hadn't worried about it. Suddenly, there was a diamond ring on my finger and I was thinking about how I'd now have to make meals for someone other than myself. And someday after that, I'd be cooking for children too. I didn't think that frozen dinners would make everyone happy for too long. My mother had long ago given up on trying to get me interested in cooking. I crawled back to her, begging for her to give me some simple cooking lessons. She was more than delighted.
My coworkers threw me an engagement party several weeks after I got engaged. My closest friend and coworker knew about my cooking fears, and bought me a cookbook called 'The Four Ingredient Cookbook'. It was filled with simple recipes for any meal you could want. The best part was that all of the simple recipes were based on only using four main ingredients. I was absolutely thrilled. That night, I spent an hour looking through this book of simple recipes. At the end of the hour, I was more than thrilled. There was no way that I could mess any of the recipes in that cookbook up. Well, maybe a few of them. However, they all seemed to be very simple recipes that were promising some wonderful meals.
I decided to start trying out some simple recipes while I still lived by myself and no one would know if I messed them up or not. If I had too, I'd just feed the garbage disposal any evidence of my mistakes and no one would ever have a clue. There were lots of simple recipes to choose from, but I chose a chicken recipe that sounded incredibly wonderful - orange chicken. An hour after I followed all of the steps, I took the chicken out of the oven, my mouth watering from the aroma. It was divine. I kept the leftovers for lunch the next day to show my coworker who had bought me the book of simple recipes.
If you're looking for a book of simple recipes, I would definitely recommend that cookbook. The author of the cookbook puts all of the simple recipes into very simple terms and steps. Even someone like me couldn't mess the recipes up. Of course, I haven't tried all of the simple recipes yet, so maybe I shouldn't say that just quite yet.
